New Hardware platform

Powerful new generation CPU ensures better performance delivering higher up to 170 Mbps capacity and almost 2 X higher packet per second rate (80000). Narrow (5 and 10 MHz) channel support ensures steady performance in noisy environments. More RAM improves the performance with multiple users connected to a single base-station and larger flash stores a 2nd failover firmware image.

LigoWave presents a new smaller form for the base station’s enclosure, which is lighter yet still retaining IP66-rated weather protection. Smaller packaging reduces freight costs and makes them less obvious. The new design has no metal parts, which makes them lighter and corrosion resistant.  

Innovative Mounting Bracket
The adjustable mounting bracket is very easy to assemble and install. It consists of two easy-to-connect parts that allow tilting the device up and down when installing on a pole.

Tilt the device in any of four directions—up, down, left, or right—with the DLB Pole Mount, thus ensuring ideal precision tilting and optimum link adaptability.

LigoWave OS

LigoWave OS contains all of the essential features for establishing fast, strong, and reliable PTMP networks. The LigoWave OS includes IPv6 Bridge & Router Support, SSDP & Bonjour Device Discovery Options, Flexible Traffic Shaping, DHCP Option 82, and more. The user interface is built on HTML5 with responsive design. The LigoDLBac Series are backward-compatible with LigoDLB devices through the iPoll 3 Proprietary Protocol.

iPoll 3: Enhanced Performance Protocol

LigoWave’s iPoll™ PTMP (Point-to-Multi-Point) proprietary protocol is an innovative solution, eliminating transmission congestion and close-cluster interference created in wireless PTMP installations.

Hotspot scenario support

Starting with v7.52, Infinity firmware can be used on LigoDLB devices for outdoor hotspot and related applications. The firmware upgrade converts the DLB base station from a PTP/PTMP device into an access point for outdoor hotspot networks.

LinkCalc

LinkCalc is LigoWave’s free wireless outdoor link planner and bandwidth calculator. It allows users to design wireless PTP/PTMP networks using virtual maps without the need for on-site field surveying or specialized tools. The data provided with LinkCalc can also be used to quote potential customer projects.

LigoWave’s DLB 2-90n delivers the highest performance and stability available in the 2.4GHz Base Station class. This product combines a robust, highly advanced 802.11n radio core containing MIMO 2×2 technology with an integrated, high gain, dual polarized, 100° sector antenna. The device is powered by a reliable, advanced, and feature-rich operating system, allowing the creation of high throughput, stable wireless networks quickly and effectively. Although the DLB 2-90n was designed mainly as a Base Station it also supports client-operating mode, which greatly extends the possible application scenarios. The smart dynamic polling based protocol (iPoll 3) ensures reliable communication even in congested areas with 64 client devices connected to a base-station. Equipped with LigoWave’s dual firmware image feature, remote software upgrades are assured even if a power failure interrupts the process. The device will restart using the prior firmware in the event of an upgrade failure. The enclosure is made of polycarbonate plastic with UV inhibitors to provide years of outdoor exposure in direct sunlight without cracking. The DLB 2-90n was designed and tested to meet an IP-65 rating as well as vibration, temperature, drop, salt, fog, and electrical surge standards to ensure a high level of reliability unsurpassed in the industry. It is equipped with a grounding lug and a grounded 24-volt PoE to allow a professional installation, resistant to electrical surges. The mounting bracket permits installation on a wall or a pole and provides up to 30 degrees of down-tilt adjustment.

New mounting

The adjustable mounting bracket is very easy to assemble and install. It consists of two easy to connect parts that allow tilting the device up and down when installing on a pole.
