Description

Small form factor
The shape of the enclosure is now smaller, lighter but retains the IP-66 weather protection rating. Smaller packaging reduces freight costs and makes them less obvious. The new design has no metal parts, which makes them lighter and corrosion resistant.

Innovative mounting bracket
The adjustable mounting bracket is very easy to assemble and install. It consists of two easy to connect parts that allow tilting the device up and down when installing on a pole.

Up to 40% lower shipping cost
Decreased form factor significantly shrunk the package size, which allows saving up to 40% of shipping cost comparing to a previous LigoDLB 5-20 model. Shipping savings have been calculated comparing road and air freight fees from the most popular couriers like DHL, UPS etc.

New Hardware platform
Powerful new generation CPU ensures better performance delivering higher up to 170 Mbps capacity and almost 2 X higher packet per second rate (80000). Narrow (5 and 10 MHz) channel support ensures steady performance in noisy environments. More RAM improves the performance with multiple users connected to a single base-station and larger flash stores a 2nd failover firmware image.


Integrated Surge Protection
3 kV line to ground and 1 kV line-to-line protection allows operating in a harsh weather conditions and unstable electrical installations.

LigoWave OS contains all of the essential features for establishing fast, strong, and reliable PTMP networks. The LigoWave OS includes IPv6 Bridge & Router Support, SSDP & Bonjour Device Discovery Options, Flexible Traffic Shaping, DHCP Option 82, and more. The user interface is built on HTML5 with responsive design.


iPoll 3: Enhanced Performance Protocol
LigoWave’s iPoll™ PTMP (Point-to-Multi-Point) proprietary protocol is an innovative solution, eliminating transmission congestion and close-cluster interference created in wireless PTMP installations.
Hotspot scenario support
Starting from v7.52 Infinity firmware image can be used on a LigoDLB series devices for the outdoor hotspot and other related applications. After the firmware upgrade DLB devices are converted into access points for outdoor hotspot networks and will lose the functionality of point-to-point or point-to-multipoint connectivity.


LinkCalc
LinkCalc is LigoWave’s free wireless outdoor link planner and bandwidth calculator. It allows users to design wireless PTP/PTMP networks using virtual maps without the need for on-site field surveying or specialized tools. The data provided with LinkCalc can also be used to quote potential customer projects.
DLB 5-20n
LigoWave’s DLB 5-20n delivers the highest performance and stability available in the 5 GHz CPE class. This product combines a highly advanced radio core containing MIMO 2×2 technology with an integrated, high-gain, dual polarization directional antenna. The feature-rich operating system is optimized for ultra-high performance wireless communications while optionally allowing compatibility with older 802.11 a standard devices.
The smart dynamic polling based protocol (iPoll 3) ensures reliable communication even in congested areas with 64 client devices connected to a base-station.
Equipped with LigoWave’s dual firmware image feature, remote software upgrades are assured even if a power failure interrupts the process. The device will restart using the prior firmware in the event of an upgrade failure.
The enclosure is made of polycarbonate plastic with UV inhibitors to provide years of outdoor exposure in direct sunlight without cracking. The DLB 5-20n was designed and tested to meet an IP-66 rating as well as vibration, temperature, drop, salt, fog, and electrical surge standards to ensure a high level of reliability unsurpassed in the industry. It is equipped with a grounding lug and a grounded 24-volt PoE to allow a professional installation, resistant to electrical surges.

INFINITY CONTROLLER
The Infinity Controller is LigoWave’s proprietary element management system that facilitates network installation, configuration, control, maintenance, monitoring, and expansion.
The Infinity Controller is designed to work with Infinity (NFT), LigoDLB, and LigoPTP NEs. It offers full functionality with the Infinity series and LigoDLB series, but only supports the monitoring feature on LigoPTP NEs.
The PTP configuration feature is currently undergoing development.
